2013 was a banner year for our newest project. The community lawn sale is a pet project of long time lawn sale activist, Mrs. Janice West. She has partnered with Mrs. Veronica Parker of 3205 Vickers Rd and introduced a network yard sale for all members of community. We used the empty lot at Carlisle and Vickers Rd. and others set up on their own front yards. This was productive because it gave buyers a greater choice of sale items and enhanced any security issues for each vendor. We are planning to have several more yard sales this upcoming year and perhaps develop a yard sale on the Hilton Elementary School ground.
